Spring Wedding Flowers

Spring weddings have a real different feel than summer, fall or winter weddings. There is something about the longer daylight and less layers of clothing, there is a feeling of lightness and renewal. It is typically a time when we get a lot of inquiries into wedding flower consultations we also do a number of wedding shows from February to April and a great time to do some spring cleaning. We’ve already completed our fourth wedding this season, and have a full roster of summer and fall of weddings. Many brides are asking what flowers are in season, here are some of our favorites. Spring flowers can be great accents to bouquets, especially some of the branch material like apple or cherry blossoms, or a simple but elegant bouquet of tulips and hyacinths can be cost effective and befitting of a spring wedding. Lily of the Valley is my personal favorite of mine, so fragrant and delicate; perhaps it is due to its limited availability.  If you are marrying early May, this flower can be a wonderful bridal or bridesmaid bouquet.

Here is a list of flowers that are plentiful this time of year and are very typically “Spring flowers”. Apple or cherry blossoms, Daffodils, Dogwoods, Forsythia branches, Hyacinths, Hydrangeas, Freesia, Ranunculus, Iris, Larkspur, Lilacs, Lilies, Lily of the valley, Lisianthus, Mini Calla Lily, Pansies, Peonies, Roses, Sweet peas, Tulips, just to name a few. If you like the simplicity of holding one variety of flower or a beautiful mixed spring bouquet of lisianthus, tulips, sweet peas for a generous a lush romantic styled bouquet. If you are unsure of what all these flowers look like, or smell like, drop by our shop and we will show you some of these beautiful blooms. We have a stocked cooler of a majority of all these flowers.
